Cohabitation
Book & Paper, Graduate

Project Summary: Cohabitation is a collection of five radio-play-inspired vignettes/short stories rendered in text, sound, original music, and assemblage examining the various types of cohabitation and relationships between various constituencies: relationships that exist between people and objects, between people and past experiences, between people and actual and figurative ghosts, between people and their animals, etc, as well as cohabitation that exists in situations where things like disease (mental or physical) or infestation exist. There is a strictly written component, comprised of the stories themselves, as well as sound component comprised of recorded audio performances of the stories enhanced by some subtle sound effects and an original musical score. The visual/physical aspect of the project is a model of the building in which stories take place, the windows and doors of which the viewer can ?peep? into see assembled scenes representing (figuratively rather than literally) the five stories and the characters involved in them. Limited edition bound text and CD.
