Connell, Dana - Faculty Advisor for Fashion/Retail Management

Biography

Dana Connell is a Full-time Faculty member of the Fashion/Retail Management concentration in the Arts, Entertainment, and Media Management Department at Columbia College Chicago.  She is a Master of Business candidate at Dominican University. 

Dana began her teaching career as a part-time faculty member at Columbia College Chicago. 

Dana was a Senior Buyer at Marshall Field's, Buyer at Mark Shale and Manager at Neiman Marcus.  During her career she was awarded a "Four Star Performance' award at Marshall Field's and a "You're What We're Famous For" award at Neiman Marcus.  In addition to teaching she continues as a Buyers Consultant with Marshall Field's.

Dana serves as the Chair of the Columbia College School of Fine and Performing Arts Curriculum Committee and Co-Chair of the Teaching and Learning Committee.  She is also a member of Fashion Group International and the American Collegiate Retailing Association.  She was honored for her achievements in teaching for two years in "Who's Who Among America's Teachers."
