AEMM Freshmen Meet & Greet

On Wednesday, September 25, the Freshman Meet & Greet hosted A Career in Independent Filmmaking: Strategies for Success. The event featured a screening of the short film UNA CAUSA NOBLE (A Noble Cause), followed by a discussion with the filmmakers, Miles Merritt and Gail Kempler. The discussion was moderated by instructor Robert Cronberg.

The film focused on the effects of the US’s policy to expedite citizenship for foreign nationals who enlist in the US armed forces. Well attended by AEMMDept classes and individual freshmen, the event gave students the opportunity to learn about the business of independent filmmaking. For more information on Freshman Meet & Greet events, contact Phyllis Johnson at pjohnson@colum.edu.
