His client list goes on to mention his work with Universal Music, EMI, Apple, Amazon and many more. As a seasoned label manager and accomplished project developer, Ramsey continues to stay on the leading-edge of music business trends.

What led you to teaching at Columbia?
I've been doing panels, lectures and mentoring for years. I wanted to go beyond being a guest and be able to bring more to the students. Columbia is an ideal fit for my New York label experience and the needs of the students.

How does your time in the classroom influence the work you do outside of the classroom?
Teaching reminds me of what I know, where I've been, and how to apply the fundamentals. It allows for a discussion of where entertainment is headed by fulfilling the students' needs. I like to think it keeps me in touch with "the street."

What should we be on the lookout for from Ramsey Jaebbar in the future?
I've been able to develop a diverse portfolio over the years. Current clients include a soon-to-be-launched VC start-up called bckstgr.com, a feature film called Martin Who? on famed Chicago tutor Martin Breiner, three label projects with my former employer, EMI, and developing an online strategy for an iconic household brand.
