Live & Performing Arts Management
Live & Performing Arts Management |
Live and performing arts take many forms, from concerts, musical theatre and dance, to political conventions and rodeos. Your passion may be live music, or just the electricity from a crowd of 100,000 screaming fans of anything!
Powering any live and performing arts event is a machine of numerous cogs that bring the event all the way from concept to reality. In the Live and Performing Arts Management concentration at AEMM, we are training students to be the future of that machinery, and the live and performing arts events for which it is the cornerstone. Our program aims at introducing future managers, artistic directors and artists to the management of live entertainment and the performing arts. We give students information, experience and the skills they’ll need in order to successfully work in this field.
The opportunities in live and performing arts management continue to grow, as more and more entertainment and media industry businesses make the income from performing live their primary source of revenue. Here are just a few of the many areas in the live and performing arts industry that we’ll help prepare you for:
- Booking
- Presenting
- Producing
- Touring
- Promoting
- Labor Relations
- Facility Management

- Managing For-Profit and Not-For-Profit Events Organizations
These are just a few of the companies and venues our alumni and faculty have worked for:
