Gordon Brennan & John Brown
August 9 - 29, 2010
During their residency at Anchor Graphics, Gordon Brennan and John Brown produced limited editioned boxed sets as part of their on-going project "World-A-Rama." Based on the 1933 Century of Progress World's Fair, "World-A-Rama" attempts to capture the optimism and experience of this moment in Chicago's history based on the legacy and interpretation of collected fragments of ephemera. An eclectic celebration of the extraordinary hidden within the mundane, the boxed sets consist of various hand made materials including posters, cards, buttons, tickets and vacuum formed plastic souvenirs that one would have encountered while attending the fair.
