For centuries artists have been making marks on copper to create fine art prints. Come learn this process from Anchor Graphics Master Printer, Chris Flynn. He will instruct students on the various aspects of this wonderful medium including preparing plates, using hard and soft grounds, aquatints, step biting, proofing, editioning, and registering multiple plates. This 10-week class is open to students of all skill levels. Class size is limited to 8 students. The cost is $300 including all materials except for paper and plates. 5” x 7” plates will be available on the first day of class. Open Studio time for the duration of the class is available for a $2 materials fee per visit.
Scholarships:
Anchor Graphics offers one scholarship per class every semester. Scholarships cover full tuition, however students will still be required to supply their own plates and paper. If you would like to apply for a scholarship please email us a brief statement describing why you would like to take a particular class, why you would like to receive a scholarship, and any previous art or printmaking experience. Please keep statements under one page in length and send to anchorgraphics@colum.edu.
