Patrick earned his architecture degree from UIUC in 2002. After working for a number of architecture firms in IL & CA, he began to realize that he didn’t want to focus on just one area of design. Since leaving his architecture career he has been able to focus his time on a variety of interests that include music, graphic design, illustration, furniture design, screen-printing, and photography. When the opportunity arose in 2008 for him to combine a lot of these interests in a career at Columbia, he gladly accepted. Working in the Art + Design department, he enjoys helping others solve problems and teaching them new ways to articulate their design choices. It is a very rewarding experience!
