Facilities
The Audio Arts & Acoustics Department takes great pride in its classrooms, studios, labs, and testing facilities, some of the best of its kind among educational institutions nationwide.
We provide technologies that foster highly effective and productive learning experiences for our students through access to a broad cross-section of audio platforms: digital and analog mixing and recording, large- and small-format live and recording consoles, and multiple protocols for acoustical testing and analysis.
Our students learn that there is no "industry standard" and that they must be prepared to face any one of a number of "platforms" in order to succeed in their subsequent professional and academic careers. Student access to our facilities and equipment is tailored to the curricular focus of each of our Department's concentrations and programs of studies, with all students having the opportunity to make use of all our resources, as these relate to their curricular needs. Our facilities are imagined, designed, implemented, and maintained thanks to the expert support of an outstanding technical team of engineers dedicated to our Department.
