Student Handbook

Both prospective and current Audio Arts & Acoustics Department students are strongly encouraged to familiarize themselves with the Student Handbook. This handbook provides comprehensive information about the Department's courses, pre-requisites, programs of study and scholarships. Please be sure to obtain the latest copy in order to keep current with your progress in the curriculum.

Once you have enrolled at Columbia College Chicago and, hopefully, in the AA&A Department's program, there are many, many resources available to help you, not only with math skills but also with writing, audio concepts, curriculum planning and more. Here are links to several of those resources.

Science and Math Learning Center	312-369-7730	Faculty tutors provide academic support, assistance with science and mathematics skills and help with other curriculum concepts.
Writing Center	312-369-8130	Provides a comfortable and supportive environment in which writers work closely with writing consultants to develop and strengthen writing skills.
Conaway Achievement Project	312-369-8132	Provides math and English tutoring; and personal and academic counseling, referrals and support.
Departmental Tutoring	312-369-8820 or 312-369-8267	Provides curriculum-specific tutoring for Intro to Audio, Basic Audio Systems and Audio Production I students. Students can sign up for a tutoring session through their Oasis account in the "Make Appointments" tab.
College Advising Center	312-369-7645	Holistic advising on College resources, policies, procedures, degree requirements, study abroad and career preparation.
Faculty Advising	312-369-8820	Program-specific advising by AA&A faculty focused on curriculum, concentrations and careers.
