Market Research

There is no debating the fact that researching the dizzying number of magazines and publishers eats up valuable writing time. But researching markets (reading magazines or the books of potential publishers) is a necessary part of the publishing process. Students in the Fiction Writing department generate our market research. The writing reflects an emerging writer's outlook on prose magazines and presses.

In the right hand column you’ll find four categories where our students focus their vast energy. They complete one-page “market sheets” that rate online magazines and print (bound) magazines. And they complete in-depth reporting on magazines and independent press. These listings will be updated periodically. Good luck.
