Kim is a part-time faculty member in the Department of Creative Arts Therapies (DCAT). She is a member of the Departmental Thesis Committee and a thesis advisor. She has taught a seminar class as part of a medical humanities and bioethics program at the Feinburg School of Medicine and presented on that work at several conferences. Kim is President of the Illinois Chapter of the American Dance Therapy Association.
Kim has worked as a dance/movement therapist in both inpatient and outpatient units at a behavioral health hospital with individuals of all ages and diagnoses with a special focus on addiction treatment. She also provides clinical supervision. She currently works at Timberline Knolls, a residential and partial treatment facility working with adults and adolescents with eating disorders, self injury, addictions, and mood disorders.
