Meet Our Faculty

The Dance Center's faculty is comprised of working dancers, choreographers, dance educators, producers and scholars, with substantial credentials and experience locally, nationally and internationally; enhanced by an array of visiting artist-teachers of national and international stature.

The Dance Center's faculty members balance their roles as educators with active involvement in artistic, scholarly, and professional endeavors. They continue to achieve distinction and honors as dance performers, choreographers, teachers, artistic directors, writers, composers, and more. Through their continued connection to the real world practice of their respective arts, the faculty brings currency and a rich range of practical experience to our students. These talented professionals bring their skills and experience to our students in the classroom, in the studio, on the stage, and through academic and career counseling.

Our regular full and part-time faculty is enhanced by nationally recognized visiting teachers and choreographers, offering short and long term teaching residencies, whose participation in the program brings broader perspective and diversity of training content to the student experience. Recent guest teachers include Liz Burritt, David Gordon, Joe Goode, Millicent Hodson, Wendy Rogers, Gesel Mason, Tere O'Connor, Eiko and Koma, Robert Moses, Kathleen Hermesdorf, Erica Wilson-Perkins, and Banu Ogan.
