Dr. Paciga’s current research interests and background are specialized in the fields of early literacy and language development and technology for literacy. Her areas of emphasis are on comprehension development and assessment, digital storybooks, integration of technology (specifically eBooks) for literacy into schools, and policy related to those topics. She is presently engaged in research investigating the role of mobile technologies for literacy education in- and out-of-school contexts.
She currently serves the International Reading Association as a member of the Early Literacy Task Force and the National Association for the Education of Young Children's Technology & Young Children Interest Forum as a website advisor.
