Mary Quest

Mary Quest, MA, is a lecturer in the Early Childhood Education program in the Education Department at Columbia College Chicago, where she teaches core child development courses and methods sequence courses.

Ms. Quest holds a Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education from Concordia University Chicago (2006). She earned her Bachelor’s degree (with highest honors) and Illinois Type 04 certification from Concordia University (1998). Prior to joining the Education Department’s Early Childhood Education program, Ms. Quest taught as an adjunct faculty member at both Triton College in River Grove, Illinois, and at Concordia University Chicago. She spent 12 years as a classroom teacher working with children ranging from kindergarten through two years old.

Ms. Quest has participated as a presenter at many local and national conferences, including the Progressive Education Network National Conference (2011), the American Alliance for Theatre and Education National Conference (2011), and the annual Chicago Metro Association for the Education of Young Children Opening Minds Conference (2006, 2007). She also has provided workshops and professional development for parents and teachers for a variety of programs and schools.
