Education Minor (18 credits)
The Education minor is designed to introduce students to the possibilities of working with children. This minor shows students the important relationships between the arts, child development, and education. A focus is placed on integrating arts across content area disciplines such as science, math, social sciences, and literature. The coursework immerses students in hands-on learning.
This minor is useful for students who are interested in working in areas that encourage knowledge of child and adolescent development, such as teaching artists, media consultants, community outreach, children’s book authors, children’s television, and museum educators.
