ECE Program for Early Head Start and Head Start Teachers with Infant/Toddler Credential (60 credits)
The new ECE Infant/Toddler concentration is designed to meet Gateways to Opportunity ECE and Infant Toddler Credential requirements. Like all of our programs, it embraces the Reggio Emilia Approach, promoting extensive exploration of the arts and emphasizing the importance of the environment, relationships, inquiry, and communication in infants’ and toddlers’ learning. Students in the program receive on-going coaching in their classrooms as they apply what they are learning to their own practice. Early Head Start teachers acquire skills in materials explorations, documentation, assessment, and research that they incorporate into their daily practice in their Early Head Start classrooms.
