Organization: South Loop School Early Childhood Center
Position Title: Volunteer
South Loop School Early Childhood Center is looking for students who are pursuing their degree in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, Child Development, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field and would like experience in a preschool setting. We are looking for students who can commit to volunteering at least 1 day per week to work with our preschool children during the afternoon from 3:30-5:30. Your role will be to support our students’ growth and development during learning centers, music and movement, gross motor, and story time.
South Loop School Early Childhood Center is a CPS tuition-based program. It is a full day school based educational program for 3 and 4 year old children. The tuition based preschool mission is to ensure that all children, ages 3 and 4, have access to comprehensive, high quality preschool options and support on a developmental continuum. Working within the context of children, families, and communities, we are committed to creating an engaging learning environment that supports and respects the unique potential of each individual through best practices.

In the past, we have hired highly qualified tutors from Columbia. The new semester is upon us, and as before, we are looking to hire more tutors from Columbia to continue working with students in the Chicago area.
