Summary

The unit assessment system is based on a Data Collection and Analysis Cycle rooted in the conceptual frameworks. Using critical transition points as guides, data are gathered, charted, and analyzed.  Results are discussed with faculty, representatives from the student body, and representatives from the P-12 community.  As actionable results are identified, priorities are established for change; impacts on the conceptual frameworks are considered. Data are gathered about candidate knowledge and performance, program effectiveness, and unit assessment process. The process is continuous; it is open and responsive to feedback from the Research, Evaluation, and Planning Department of the College.
