Heather Dewar

First Year Writing

Heather Dewar earned her M.A. in English from Middlebury College's Bread Loaf School of English and her M.A. in creative writing from Northwestern University. She holds a B.A. in comparative literary studies and history from Northwestern University. Her work has appeared in the Chicago Reader, Utne, North Shore magazine, Time Out Chicago and the The Common Review. Her fiction has appeared in ZinkZine and was recently nominated for the Best New American Voices 2008 anthology. She teaches Writing and Rhetoric I at Columbia.
