Lloyd Sachs (Reviewing the Arts) is a former Chicago Sun-Times pop culture columnist, jazz and pop critic and editorial board member. A contributing editor and columnist for No Depression, he is featured in the online magazine's new “bookazine,” published by the University of Texas Press, and had his cover profile of Rosanne Cash included in UTP's The Best of No Depression: Writing About American Music. He reviews books for The Common Review, a quarterly published by the Great Books Foundation, and has written for many other publications including Rolling Stone, Down Beat, the Chicago Reader, the Los Angeles Times and USA Today. On local radio, he was the voice of “Sachs and the Cinema” on WXRT-FM and co-host of the jazz program “Writers Bloc” on WNUR-FM.
