Molly Ades received her BA in English from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2001, and her MA in Applied Linguistics from the University of Illinois-Chicago in 2004. Molly has taught at Loyola University and at the English Language Academy at DePaul. She has been teaching courses in Columbia’s English Department since 2004, including Writing and Rhetoric I & II, Oral Expression, College Reading, and English as a Second Language.
Molly’s research and teaching interests include Second Language Acquisition and Cultural Studies. Molly has also been a recipient of Columbia College’s Technology Fellowship for the 2007-2008 and 2008-2009 academic years. As a Technology Fellow, Molly explores innovative ways to use technology as a means to teaching language – both in college level English courses as well as language courses for non-native speakers of English.
