Nicole Wilson

Assistant Programs Director, Poetry and Literature

Nicole Wilson teaches introductory poetry workshops and literature courses and is also the Assistant Programs Director of Poetry & Literature.

Nicole is a graduate of University of North Carolina at Wilmington (English/Literature) and of Columbia College’s MFA Creative Writing-Poetry Program. Before moving on to become a Graduate Student Instructor in First Year Writing and later an adjunct English faculty member at Columbia, Nicole worked consecutively as a first grade Teaching Assistant and interim Drafter at a steel company.

In Summer 2007, Nicole founded Elbowing off the Stage, a community reading series, which she curates once a month. She is also at work on two manuscripts and has poems in recent or forthcoming issues of Columbia Poetry Review, Emprise Review, Rabbit Light Movies, Babel Fruit, pacificREVIEW, Fifth Wednesday, RealPoetik, and Coconut.
