Rachel Alina Michaels received her M.A. with Distinction in Literature & Film from Northern Illinois University and is currently teaching Introduction to College Writing and Writing & Rhetoric II. She has taught History of Rock & Roll at University of Illinois at Chicago, Semiotics of Popular Culture at NIU, and lived in London, UK, from 2003-2006, teaching various Math and English courses at Thames Valley University.
Rachel's writing has been published in Conscious Choice Magazine, and she presented her quantitative analysis of numeracy pedagogy in England last year.
Her research interests include music, film, gender, vampires, mythology, and taking her dog to the beach.
