Richard Meier

Poetry

Richard Meier has published two books of poetry. Shelley Gave Jane a Guitar (Wave 2006) and Terrain Vague (Verse Press/Wave Books, 2001), which was selected by Tomaz Salamun for the Verse Prize. His poems have appeared in Conjunctions, Volt, Boston Review, Lungfull, and other leading literary journals and magazines. He has taught at numerous colleges and universities and most extensively as a teaching artist, teaching poetry writing to public school students with Teachers and Writers Collaborative in New York City, the Poetry Center’s Hands On Stanzas Program in Chicago, Gateway to the Arts in Pittsburgh, and other organizations.
