Paula Payton, Coordinator of Services
 
Paula has a BA in English from Northern Michigan University. Prior to working at Columbia, she was an administrator for the University of Michigan Law School, where she worked with law students pursuing public service careers. Outside of Columbia, she is a writer of children’s novels and is active in the Society of Children’s Book Writer’s and Illustrators.

Amy Pelak, Coordinator of Services
 
Amy has a B.A. in Women's Studies from the College of Wooster. While at Wooster, she served as the student coordinator of the Women's Resource Center and she also acted as a student representative on the Women's Studies Curriculum Committee. Prior to her employment at Columbia, Amy worked as an executive assistant to the Dean's Office of the Liberal Arts College of the University of New Orleans.

Dokki Kang, Department Technologist

Dok joined the English Department in the fall of 2005 as a new Department Technologist. His responsibilities include maintaining the department servers, workstations, and computer labs.  Other responsibilities include helping faculty and staff with usage of the department computer network.

He has CompTIA A+ certified and has a B.A. degree in Management/ Entrepreneurship from Columbia College Chicago. Prior to his arrival, he worked as a Computer Lab Manager for the Educational Studies Department Graduate Programs at Columbia College and as an Academic Coordinator for the Regional Mathematics and Science Center at the University of Illinois at Chicago.

Dok is a computer enthusiast who has been building, maintaining, and upgrading computers for friends and family for 10 years.  He enjoys a good challenge and receives a great sense of satisfaction from solving computer problems.  In his spare time, Dok enjoys camping and watching baseball games.
