The English Department provides a number of handy resources for students across the college.
The Writing Center
The Writing Center provides a comfortable, supportive, and instructional environment in which writers work closely with Writing Consultants or Reading Specialists to develop and strengthen their skills.
English as a Second Language
The Academic ESL Program offers support courses in reading and writing for Columbia College students who need to improve their English communication skills while studying other subjects at the College.
Student Advocates
The Student Advocate program helps instructors connect students having difficulty in the English department's first-year courses with campus professionals who can assess the situation and give aid to the students where needed.
