Important Changes to Major:
1. All Workshops and Craft Seminars will be 3-credit-hour classes instead of 4-hour classes.
2. Two (2) sections of "Poetry Workshop Intermediate" will be required to graduate instead of one (1).
3. "Creative Nonfiction Workshop: Beginning" will replace "Fiction Writing I" as the creative prose requirement.
4. One Craft Seminar is required. A second Craft Seminar may be taken as an elective.
5. The Writing Electives and Professional Writing Electives will be combined, and students will take two (2) to graduate.
6. The capstone course will be "Thesis Development Seminar," a brand new course in which students complete a chapbook-length series of poems as a final, senior thesis requirement in the major.
