Gamble received her B.A. in History from Indiana University, a Juris Doctor degree from Indiana University School of Law and a B.A. with honors in Fashion Marketing and Management from the Illinois Institute of Art in Chicago. In 2005, Gamble was appointed by Mayor Richard M. Daley to the position of Director of Fashion Arts and Events for the City of Chicago. In that role, Gamble was the Executive Producer for the City's Fashion Week, Fashion Focus Chicago; led the Mayor's Fashion Council; developed the virtual industry hub in www.chicagofashionresource.com, the City’s official fashion website; developed and launched the Chicago Fashion Incubator at Macy’s on State Street, and produced year round programming to help build the City's fashion industry supporting local designers and retailers. Gamble serves on the Board of Directors for the Chicago Fashion Incubator at Macy’s on State Street, the Board of Directors of the Driehaus Design Initiative, is a member of Toyota Motor Corporation Japan’s Strategic Advisory Committee for the Global Creative Lounge initiative and is a member of the Chicago History Museum’s Costume Council.
