This course will explore the visual strategies used by retailers in Italy. The course will look at the strategic approach retailers take to create awareness of their merchandize offerings. In an area that is highly tourist driven, retailers work to capture attention through visually appealing display and merchandising techniques. Display will be deconstructed with regard to color, balance, proportion, lighting fixtures and promotions.
Students will meet one time on-campus prior to departure date of the trip.

All aplications must meet this minimum requirement:
Sophomore status (30-60 credit hours)
Tuition and college fees for 3 credit hours is $1,878.
Estimated course fee of $2,700 will include housing, local transportation and excursions. Additional costs will include meals and airfare. The Office of International Programs will provide a detailed cost summary by January 2013.
