Columbia College's Fashion Design Facilities rank superior in the Midwest with professional equipment and teaching space. Spacious construction studios, a CAD computer lab, lecture classrooms, and a study collection/resource room are all available to students for work, research, and study.

The studios are equipped with industrial quality sewing and overlock machines, pressing units, fur machines, blind hemmers, ironing stations and cutting tables. Industry-sized dress forms as well as professional runway models are utilized for fitting garments. Students are taught in a setting similar to those found in the fashion design industry workrooms.

The downtown Chicago location of Columbia College also serves as an adjunct campus for fashion studies. It provides students access to fashion retailing, manufacturing, and marketing resources. Thanks to the close proximity of fashion boutiques, art galleries and museums.
