A Screenwriting Prize Sponsored by Columbia College Chicago Film & Video Department

Alumni Feature Length Category:
1st Place - Final Draft, StoryO, and  $2000
2nd Place - Final Draft and  $1000
3rd place – Final Draft  

Student Feature Length Category:
1st Place - WGA Online Mentorship, Final Draft, and StoryO
2nd Place – Final Draft and  $500
3rd Place – Final Draft

Student Short Length Category:
1st Place – Final Draft, StoryO, and  $500
2nd Place – Final Draft and  $250
3rd Place – Final Draft

Best Pitch - $500

There will also be honorable mention certificates awarded in each of the three screenplay categories.

The Awards Ceremony will be Friday, September 27, 2013.

The Written Image Screenwriting Prize is designed to foster the development and recognition of "new screenwriters," specifically alumni of Columbia College Chicago who majored in Film or current students with a declared major in Film & Video - writers who are at the threshold of a professional career.

The competition's goal is to recognize the best of our "amateur" screenwriters and give them a first step into screenwriting as a profession.
