Advanced Production Center

The Advanced Production Center

The APC was created to help students locate crews for advanced productions (anything post-Production III) and, conversely, to introduce students interested in working as crew to these same projects

The APC matches interested crew members with interested producers and directors in all phases of production.

Students enrolled in these classes (i.e. Directing III, Special Studies, Independent Projects, Practicum, or Graduate Thesis) are encouraged to visit the APC to discuss the project and post the necessary information.  These projects are sent out to the APC database of interested crew members so that they can contact you directly.

Additionally, students interested in working on an advanced production should fill out a contact form – either as a production assistant or for all other crew positions, depending on your level of expertise or interest.  Your information will be input into the database and you will receive notifications on projects looking for crew.

The Advanced Production Center also houses Columbia's headshot books of actors and actresses who have previously worked on Columbia projects or have submitted their headshot to the office.

The APC maintains a Script Bank which contains material for short, animated, and feature films.  To submit your polished screenplay click here. To search the script bank, please visit the APC. Scripts may be used, with the written permission of the copyright holder, for independent and class projects.

If you need help with locations, insurance, or any other film related issues please stop by the office.

The Advanced Production Center is located in Room 517, 1104 S. Wabash.

Students are encouraged to make an appointment via email.
