MAKING

Calling all designers, performers, marketers, music-makers, fundraisers, writers, builders, and planners! The second annual Graduate Student Collaboration Project, PGA (Please Generate Art) will celebrate the communal spirit of Manifest by engaging the entire graduate student body in the creation of an interactive, interdisciplinary miniature-golf-inspired art-course.  Spanning practically the entire school year, the PGA experience is unlike any other on campus—from formulating a creative vision to executing the final product, graduate students across departments will lead the entire process from start to finish. Step outside your comfort zone and into the unknown, the unimaginable and the unheard of. PGA is an opportunity to be part of a uniquely collaborative enterprise that is at the root of what Columbia College Chicago is all about.

ABOUT THE GRADUATE MANIFEST PROJECT

Columbia’s graduate students are scattered across departments throughout campus, and rarely have the opportunity for creative collaboration across disciplines. This is about to change with the creation of the first Graduate Student Collaboration.

The Graduate Manifest Project, PGA: Please Generate Art sets forth to celebrate the communal spirit of Manifest by engaging the Graduate student body in a collaborative, interdisciplinary exhibit. The project will synthesize the disciplines into one creative vision, utilizing the departments’ various talents.

PGA (Please Generate Art) is an interactive, interdisciplinary installation which combines a familiar game of miniature golf with an ethereal maze of curiosities. Participants putt their way through an amusing, provocative, and surreal world imagined and brought to life by the most sophisticated creative talent at the college.
