The Graduate Student Center
This past fall, the Graduate Office was proud to introduce the new Graduate Student Center. Located at 600 S. Michigan Ave. in Room 205, the Graduate Student Center is open Monday – Friday from 10am – 7pm. It is a open to all currently enrolled graduate students and comes complete with two printers, a microwave, a mini-refrigerator, two multimedia projection packages, a conference room and plenty of comfortable seating to facilitate the studying, social and lounging needs of our graduate students.
Over the past semester, we've held a number of events in there. From socials and departmental spotlights to professional development workshops and readings. Some upcoming events in the Center to keep your eyes out for are Brain Food and the Ambassador Social Events.
Brain Food is a series of twice monthly professional development workshops designed with the specific needs of our graduate students in mind. Also, each week, for the rest of the spring, our Graduate Ambassadors will be hosting a small social event for you. Anything from crafting parties and movie screenings to karaoke or board game night, there will be something for all.
