Apply for Admission

1. Visit us if you can! Columbia offers daily weekday tours and two graduate open houses per academic year. Click the Open House link on the right sidebar for information about the next scheduled Open House.

2. Check deadlines. We only admit for the fall semester. Deadlines vary by department. Please note that it usually takes a minimum of eight to ten weeks after the deadline to receive an admissions decision.

3. Complete the application.  Columbia's Graduate Application is online. Click here to go to the Apply page. 

4. Don't forget the $55 application fee.  You may send a check or money order to the Graduate Office or make the payment online with your application.

To pay by credit card over the phone, please call 312-369-7260.  If you pay by check, money order, or with a credit card over the phone, please note that your payment will not be processed until your application is in the final stages of processing.

Note:  Given the nature of our programs, the GRE is not required.
