Andrea K. Andrea is currently a full time clinical therapist working with high-risk populations of children, adolescents and their families at Catholic Charities. In addition to having an extensive background working with children and youth who have sexually problematic behaviors, she provides treatment to clients who have experienced numerous and chronic traumas.
Since 1988, Andrea has been a member of the Graduate School faculty of the Dance/Movement Therapy and Counseling Department at Columbia College Chicago. She teaches the Thesis Seminar and Family Counseling courses and is a member of the Thesis Committee. Andrea was a contributor to The Art and Practice of Dance/Movement Therapy, co-authored by Linda S. Behar-Horenstein and Jane Ganet Sigel.
Andrea provides clinical supervision and maintains a private practice in dance/movement therapy.
Bethany Brownholtz is the part-time administrative assistant. Her main duties include assisting the Chair, front reception, resource acquisition and management, prospective student relations, and writing tutoring.
Bethany earned a BA in English and Art from West Chester University of Pennsylvania’s Honors College. She graduated summa cum laude and received the Walker Hamilton Award, given to the student with the highest GPA of all graduating English majors. She has worked in college and high school writing centers, has written and edited publications and grant proposals, and has tutored English, reading, writing, ACT prep, and SAT prep.

Becky, a graduate of Columbia College Chicago, is a part-time faculty member of the Dance/Movement Therapy and Counseling Department, teaching observation and assessment of movement coursework. Becky is also a consultant with the Columbia College Chicago Suicide Prevention Program and oversees the Community Outreach Suicide Prevention Program housed in the Dance/Movement Therapy & Counseling Department.

Laura is an adjunct faculty member and the Assessment Coordinator in the Department of Dance/Movement Therapy & Counseling. She consulted as the External Evaluator and led Making Connections Workshops for the Columbia College Chicago Campus Suicide Prevention Program. Laura continues her work in suicidology through the Shannon Hardy Making Connections Program housed in the DMT&C department. She is a member of the Departmental Thesis Committee and is a thesis advisor. Laura is a member of the Research Sub-Committee of the American Dance Therapy Association where she serves as the co-coordinator of the Research and Thesis Poster Session at the annual conference.
Laura currently works as a dance/movement therapist in the New Focus Program, a psychosocial rehabilitation program for individuals with traumatic brain injury. She previously worked in both inpatient and outpatient units at a behavioral health hospital with individuals of all ages. Laura utilizes her movement observation skills in teaching classical dance to children, adolescents and adults.

Kristina is an adjunct faculty member of the Dance/Movement Therapy and Counseling Department, teaching observation and assessment of movement coursework.
Kristina is in her fifth year as a movement collaborator with Molly Shanahan/Mad Shak, and has been honored to work with many other talented choreographers in Chicago. She is also an adjunct faculty member at The University of Chicago, and teaches regularly at Point Park University in Pittsburgh, Lou Conte Dance Studio/Hubbard Street Dance Chicago, Thodos Dance Chicago, and the Chicago Park District.

Lisa is the manager of Anixter Center’s New Focus Program for adult survivors of brain injury. In addition, she teaches in the Graduate Laban Certificate in Movement Analysis Program, Observation and Assessment of Movement I and II, and Professional Orientation Field Work/Ethics. Lisa is also the artistic coordinator for the annual Student/Faculty Dance Concert.
Lisa co-founded, co-directs and performs in Sling Dance Company.

Dr. Lenore Hervey received her appointment as full-time faculty of the Department of Dance/Movement Therapy and Counseling at Columbia College Chicago in the Spring of 2002. Currently, she serves as Research and Assessment Coordinator for the department.
Prior to Columbia College Chicago, Lenore served for 16 years as a Senior Associate faculty at the Antioch New England Graduate School in New Hampshire. Lenore is the author of Artistic Inquiry in Dance/Movement Therapy: Creative Research Alternatives.
Paul S. Holmquist, Bachelor of Fine Arts (B.F.A.), Acting, The Theatre School at DePaul University, Chicago, Illinois; Graduate Laban Certificate in Movement Analysis (G.L.C.M.A.), Columbia College Chicago, Illinois.
Paul is an award winning Actor and Director in Chicago's non-Equity theatre community. As Academic Manager for the DMT&C department, he assists students as a liason between departments, with registration and academic records, and with general advisement. He manages schedules, contracts and special events under the auspices of the Chair.

Stacey Hurst is currently in private practice at Mind Body Connections located at Clarus Center in Warrenville, IL where she works individually with adolescents and adults.
She is an allied staff professional at Linden Oaks hospital and formerly worked at Rush Behavioral Health with chemically addicted professionals, MacNeal Hospital with the inpatient and partial hospitalization programs and at Rainbow Hospice with bereaved children.
Stacey serves as the coordinator for the Graduate Laban Certificate in Movement Analysis Program and provides clinical supervision. Stacey is currently the Central Region Member-at-Large on the board of directors for the ADTA.

Chair of the Department of Dance/Movement Therapy and Counseling at Columbia College Chicago, Susan is a national and international consultant to universities, hospitals, and corporations. She co-founded the Graduate Laban Certificate in Movement Analysis (G.L.C.M.A.), which was formally incorporated into the curriculum of the Dance/Movement Therapy and Counseling Department in 2001. She also founded the Shannon Hardy Making Connections Suicide Prevention Program which resulted in a SAHMSA grant from the United States government in 2005.
Her past professional experience included her working at McClean Hospital, N.E. Rehabilitation Hospital, and Harvard Community Health Plan in Boston; Vencor Hospital and Illinois Masonic Medical Center in Chicago; and Northwest Community Hospital and the Des Moines Public School System in Des Moines, Iowa.
Susan maintains a small supervision practice.

Kris interned at St. Elizabeth's Hospital in Washington, D.C., the birthplace of DMT. Subsequently, he worked at Charter Behavioral Health and the Pride Institute in Chicago where he was part of the development of the first LGBT program in Chicago. In addition to Columbia College, he coordinated the dance/movement therapy concentration in the Psychology department at Barat College, Illinois until the college's closure in Spring of 2004. Kris is the Faculty Development Coordinator for the Department of Dance/Movement Therapy and Counseling.

Shannon is a part-time faculty/staff member of the Dance/Movement Therapy and Counseling Department, serving as Coordinator of Alumni Relations and Recruitment. Shannon serves as a member of the Department’s Thesis Committee and is the Central Region Member-at-Large for the American Dance Therapy Association. Shannon is also the past President of the Illinois Chapter of the American Dance Therapy Association.
Shannon is the Project Director for the Columbia College Chicago Campus Suicide Prevention Program. She is also an adjunct faculty member of the Liberal Education Department.

Nancy is currently a full time Bilingual Psychotherapist at World Relief Chicago working with refugee families who have survived trauma and abuse. In 2008, Nancy has joined the Graduate School faculty of Dance/Movement Therapy and Counseling Department at Columbia College Chicago. She teaches 'Trauma and The Dance of Recovery' in the J-term and Professional Orientation FieldWork/Ethics in the summer semester. Nancy provides clinical supervision and maintains a private practice in dance/movement therapy with focus on trauma and grief and loss.
Nancy serves in the DTR approval Committee, American Dance Therapy Association, and has published both nationally in 'The Journal of Pedagogy , Pluralism & Practice, Issue 9, 2004" and internationally in the International Journal of Qualitative Studeis in Education, May- June 2008, United Kingdom.

Jessica Young received her appointment as full-time faculty in the Fall of 2006 after serving as adjunct faculty since 2002. She specializes in observation and assessment of movement as well as addiction studies. She is also the Clinical Coordinator, president of the Illinois Chapter of the ADTA, serves on the departmental thesis committee and ADTA Approval Committee, and provides clinical supervision.
Jessica has presented workshops in dance/movement therapy, motivational interviewing, harm reduction, and violence prevention nationally and internationally, and is a trainer with the Midwest Harm Reduction Institute.
Previously, Jessica has worked extensively with adults who are homeless, living with severe mental illness, and abusing substances.
