Diversifying Higher Education Faculty in Illinois

Diversifying Higher Education Faculty in Illinois (DFI, formerly ICEOP) awards fellowships to graduate students (new and continuing) who are members of underrepresented minorities and who plan to teach in this state at the college level after receiving their degree.

The director of Graduate Admissions is the Institutional Representative for DFI and works with Columbia students during the application process. If you believe you may be qualified for DFI, please complete and provided application and contact the Graduate School Office to arrange a preliminary meeting. All potential applications must be turned in first to the Institutional Representative by the internal deadline listed below.

Each institution is limited as to the number of applications they are able to forward to the evaluation committee.
