Graduate Programs

Columbia College Chicago offers 21 master's degrees (M.A., M.A.T., M.A.M., M.F.A.) and two graduate certificate within 11 disciplines focusing on the arts, media, education, and communication. We also offer the possibility to study as a graduate student-at-large in the Educational Studies Department.

Courses are taught by exceptional faculty, who are practitioners--writers, filmmakers, photographers, architects, journalists, poets. The coursework covers both theory and practice. Capstone projects/thesis requirements vary by subject and include a publishable work of poetry (Poetry M.F.A); a 15-to-20-minute film (Film & Video M.F.A.), and a written thesis (Arts, Entertainment & media Management M.A.M).
