Haiku Contest for Graduating Students

The Library is sponsoring a haiku contest for all graduating students as a part of Manifest 2008.  We are looking for an exceptional haiku from a graduating senior or graduate student using themes such as  graduation, learning, knowledge, books and/or their time as a Columbia student for display in the Library.  Students may submit up to 3 haiku each by Wednesday, April 23rd, 2008.  All entries will be reviewed by a jury of library staff headed by Tony Trigilio, Director of Creative Writing—Poetry and Associate Director of the English Department.

The winning haiku will be displayed in large print on the 3rd through 5th floor windows of the Library facing Michigan Avenue during Manifest Week, May 12-17th.

Entries should be sent to Kim Hale, Head of Library Marketing, Outreach and Special Initiatives at: khale@colum.edu; they may also be dropped off at the Library Circulation Desk anytime during regular library hours.
