Haiku Contest for Graduating Students
The Library is sponsoring a
haiku contest for all graduating students as a part of Manifest 2008. We are looking for an
exceptional haiku from a graduating senior or graduate student using themes such
as graduation, learning, knowledge, books and/or their time as a Columbia
student for display in the Library. Students may submit up to 3 haiku each by
Wednesday, April 23rd,
2008. All entries will be reviewed
by a jury of library staff headed by Tony Trigilio, Director of Creative
Writing—Poetry and Associate Director of the English Department.
The winning haiku will be
displayed in large print on the 3rd through 5th floor windows of the Library
facing Michigan Avenue during Manifest Week, May 12-17th.
