Cultural Studies

The Cultural Studies program at Columbia College Chicago is one of the very few interdisciplinary, interdepartmental programs at Columbia, and is one of the only undergraduate programs of its kind in the world.  It is based in the Department of Humanities, History, and Social Sciences - an interdisciplinary unit with faculty in over 12 disciplines - and its also draws on faculty from the English Department and from course offerings throughout the college. From its inception in 2002, the program has explicitly sought to link the humanities and social sciences, combining a variety of interpretive methods and analyses to explore the production, distribution and consumption of cultural phenomena in their social context.


This database was designed to provide students, faculty, and staff with supplementary materials pertaining to the Cultural Studies program, our field of study, and useful resources for career planning and exploration.  It is still under development, so please check back for updates in the near future.
