Bill Hayashi
Bill Hayashi, PhD, is Professor of Humanities in the
Department of Humanities, History, and Social Sciences at Columbia College
Chicago.
Dr. Hayashi earned holds a BA (with Great Distinction) in
English Literature from Stanford University, an MA in English Literature from
the University of Chicago, and he received his PhD in Philosophy from the
University of Chicago. He has taught at Columbia since 1982.
Dr. Hayashi’s has published widely, including numerous
articles Darshan Magazine, and he’s
presented his work at more than a dozen conferences, including "The Role of
Young People in the Shift in Consciousness Happening on the Planet,” a panel
presentation with Columbia students, Global Women for Peace Young Contemplatives
Conference, and "The Essence of Interspirituality," a public lecture
at One Spirit Interfaith Seminary, in New York.
Dr. Hayashi is also a certified therapist, experimental
focusing trainer, and teacher of Siddha yoga medication.
