This year's winning entry from Ariadne Humpal
The Paula Pfeffer Political Cartoon Contest is a vehicle through which Columbia College Chicago students participate in the political discourse, demonstrate their artistic skills, and showcase their analytical abilities. Sam Pfeffer, Emeritus Trustee at Columbia College Chicago, endowed the contest and named it after his wife, Paula.

The jury of the competition includes faculty members from the HHSS, Journalism, Art and Design, and Film and Video departments, along with one outside judge from the world of media and one staff member (who is also a student at the college) from the Columbia Chronicle.
In addition to cash prizes, all winners receive a certificate and are honored at a reception at the Columbia College Chicago Library. Both single-panel and multi-panel cartoons are acceptable for this contest. Submitted cartoons must be drawn or printed on 8.5x11 white paper.
