Marilyn Sward: Speaking in Paper

June 9–August 21

Gone but never to be forgotten, Center for Book and Paper Arts founder Marilyn Sward was an important artist during a critical period when handmade paper was coming into its own as a fine art medium. Curated by Audrey Niffenegger, with Pamela Paulsrud and Stephen DeSantis, this exhibition spans four decades of the ground-breaking work that inspired many to follow in her footsteps.

Read a review by Lauren Weinberg in Time Out Chicago.

A full length catalog, featuring essays by Jeff Abell, Tom Bannister, Audrey Niffenegger and Pamela Paulsrud, was published on the occasion of this exhibition.  To purchase, click here to visit our online store.
