Our faculty members are talented, accomplished journalists who can help you get internships in Chicago, the nation and the world. Our alumni are prominent and plentiful in professional positions in major and niche media, and in a wide range of communication-related fields.

The Journalism Department is committed to educating students in critical, creative and independent thinking, ethical decision-making and the fundamentals of accurate and lively reporting, writing and editing for all media. We embrace the admissions philosophy of the college and provide individual attention to students to help them become the best journalists possible. We teach students to engage with diverse audiences, and to be adaptable and resourceful so they are well-prepared for new and traditional journalistic roles.
