As a full-time junior studying broadcast journalism
at Columbia College Chicago, I am anything but the typical journalist.
I spend
my time working hard and playing hard. I‘m an intern at 24/7
Chicago productions and a director and editor for the Columbia College
Journalism Newsroom.
Sports are one of my many passions and the
career path I want to take. In fact, I’ll even go as far to say
the ultimate present would be to go to a UFC fight or super bowl. I currently
train in different styles of fighting, such as boxing, thai boxing and
mixed martial arts.
You could say fighting is my life outside of school
and work. My first fight was in this year’s Chicago Golden Gloves. After
I graduate, if not before, I hope to excel my career in fighting possibly
going pro and also pursue a career in sports reporting. In the
future, I have plans of hosting my own show based on fighting.
I am
also in pursuit of some play-by-play work and I look forward to graduating
in December of 2008. |
