Registering for Courses
As soon as you have received confirmation of your acceptance to the program from Columbia’s Undergraduate Admissions Office, you may register for classes.
Registration is done through the College’s “Oasis” system.
If the course you would like to take is closed, we encourage you to check back often to see if any spaces have opened up. We regret that we are unable to maintain “waiting lists" for classes. However, we may be able to help you select alternate courses that suit your interests. We would welcome hearing from you.
Payment of tuition (and housing if applicable) are due upon registration. Students who have not made full payment may be dropped from classes. If you would like to pay online via our CCCPay system, you must wait one business day after registering for class(es) before you can access the system.
Every year, a small number of courses must be cancelled due to low enrollment. However, should such cancellations occur, students affected by such changes or cancellations will be notified. Students may then opt to be placed in available spaces in courses that suit their interests or request a full refund of their tuition fees.
*Special note to parents: The Family Education and Privacy Act (FERPA) protects the privacy of student academic records. Under the act, personally identifiable information about a student cannot be released without the student’s express written permission. Any student attending a post-secondary school, regardless of age, is protected by FERPA. High School Summer Institute students, by virtue of their attendance at Columbia College Chicago, are covered by the act and their grades and other confidential information cannot be released to any third party, including a parent.
