Marketing Communication
The Marketing Communication Department encourages students to study abroad in order to obtain a stronger education about Global Marketing and PR. To find out about how you can study abroad, click here.
Student Mackenzie Brayan interviewed two students on their experience abroad and here in the US.

Kathryn Wolterman imagined herself around the world since she was in high school. One of those places she imagined herself was visiting the city of Shanghai in China. What she imagined became a reality after taking the Global Marketing course, 54-2550, in Prague, Czech Republic over the summer. With the entire class, she worked directly with DraftFCB. Kathryn had studied two semesters of Mandarin at Columbia; this allowed her the opportunity to intern with DraftFCB in China, in the city of Shanghai. One connection begets another.

Lu Liu decided to come to America to study abroad at Columbia College Chicago. Already with her master’s degree in Mass Communications, she decided to challenge herself and her education once again but in a foreign country. Here she would be able to explore not only a new place but also the language and culture.
