Hyunjung Bae
Hyunjung Bae, PhD, is a cross-cultural social psychologist with extensive experience in application of sociology. Her consulting work concentrates on marketing research and program evaluation. Her clients include both industry organizations such as KRAFT, Motorola, and IRI as well as not for profit organizations including Northwestern University and American Red Cross. Prior to consulting practice, Hyunjung Bae was Director of Marketing and Corporate Communications at Samsung Software America in Andover, Mass. She also managed marketing program for high-end statistical package products at SPSS, Inc. Hyunjung has been involved in teaching and research on various cross-cultural projects at University of Illinois as well as other higher educational institutes.
Hyunjung earned a B.A. in Sociology and a B.A. in French Literature and Language from the Ewha Women’s University in Seoul, Korea. After she finished her M.A. in Sociology from University of Illinois, she continued her cross-cultural project involving several countries and completed her Ph.D. in Social Psychology, with special interest in cross-cultural methodology. Her current interests include the issues in cross-cultural communication, globalization, application of Social Psychology in marketing, and Positive Psychology. Along with her degrees in social science, Hyunjung Bae holds a Post Baccalaureate in Fine Art Photography from the Columbia College Chicago. Her architectural photography work has been published and shown in galleries.
