In addition to serving as an adjunct professor at Columbia, I am the Vice President of Public Relations at the Chicago Lighthouse. Chicago Lighthouse is one of the city’s oldest social service agencies assisting people who are blind or visually impaired.
My First Real Job
My first “real-world” job was serving as a communications aide in the VISTA/Peace Corps Recruitment Office. There I wrote releases, did public speaking and conducted media research.
My professional accomplishments include winning four Golden Trumpet Awards from the Publicity Club of Chicago for outstanding achievement; generating coverage in national media outlets like the Wall Street Journal, CBS Evening News, ABC Evening News, Los Angeles Times and Washington Post; being profiled in the Chronicle of Philanthropy.
What Drives Your Professional Career
What has driven my professional career is my desire to serve others and to attain excellence.
